Building on 12 years in the technology recruiting industry, Scott spent 7 years working for boutique specialist recruitment agencies in the UK and in 2013 he joined a global specialist recruitment agency in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, servicing clients across the APAC region. He has developed an appreciation for the skills required to succeed – assertiveness combined with professionalism, the ability to truly listen to and understand a client’s needs.
Scott’s honest, straight-forward approach to the recruitment process, as well as his integrity and forthrightness have allowed him to develop an extremely high interview-to-hire ratio. He specializes in niche recruitment projects as well as retained executive search, and consults clients on building and utilizing an effective approach to recruiting senior-level candidates.
With a combination of entrepreneurial instinct and recruitment passion, Scott found ETR Search in 2016. It was Malaysia that he identified the need for a niche local-based recruitment agency to fill the gap for better recruitment services in the APAC region.

After a long career in Sales, IT Training Solutions and Technology Recruiting in the Education sector, Linges joined ETR Search as Business Development Manager to support our mission of finding the most qualified professionals to satisfy our toughest client requirements. Rapidly assessing skills and candidate ability is why Linges’s clients like him and keep coming back for more. His theory is simple, making sure candidates are perfect fit for the requirement is not only good for talent, but it’s great for clients.
Grace started her career 5 years ago with ambitions to become a HR leader. She joined ETR Search as HR Manager to pursue the career she aspires while completing Human Resource Management degree. In the past 5 years she has worked her way up to Admin Manager and HR Exec, and is now in charge of the day to day running of our busy office in Kuala Lumpur. She has quickly adapted to the fast paced environment of recruitment, and is an excellent team member and support to our consultants. Grace is also tasked with sourcing our internal recruiters.
Yilmaz recruitment knowledge and experience in handling tough assignments is next to Elon Musk searching for life on Mars. He always finds a way to get the job done and his work ethic speaks for itself. Both Clients and Candidates love him.
Yilmaz has been providing local and international technology recruitment services for over 10 years across Malaysia, United Kingdom, Australia, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam and Africa servicing/recruiting for global MNC’s within the Telco space. He has delivered multiple Contract and Permanent assignments for companies like Ericson, Huawei, Nokia and ZTE and Telco operators.
Two years ago, Yilmaz switched his focus to Data & Analytics and has since nurtured a niche network of data professionals in Malaysia and APAC region, specialising in Data Science, Machine Learning, AI etc. He now heads our Data & Analytics and Cloud practice servicing clients across Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia, recruiting smart people who provide data driven Insights and Cloud transofmations.

We welcome our new Cyber Specialist Recruiter! Brian reached out to us relentlessly on LinkedIn to join us. Initially we were not convinced due to his lack of experience in our industry, so we decided to meet him for an initial chat. Soon after our first meeting we were convinced he will be our next recruiting wizard.
Brian asks the right questions and remembers all the answers – the ultimate skills you need to be an ace recruiter. First week in the job and he absolutely loves talking to people in view of helping them find their next ideal role, something he’ll be doing for the rest of his life, he says. 😅
His warm and infectious laugh can often be heard throughout the office, but when all is quiet there’s a good chance he’s Googling and learning about his industry. He’s a gym junkie and a secret Nicole Kidman fan (although obviously that secret is out now, Brain – sorry mate).

After realisation kicked in that Biotech was not as sexy career as Joeann thought it would be, (bored being stuck in a lab everyday looking in a microscope and writing reports on germs) she ventured into recruitment because she’s always been a people person and like’s helping people.
Joeann’s statement was: There’s nothing like the thrill of a candidate’s enthusiastic “Yes!” to an offer, and an equally pleased hiring manager who just landed a top performer. Perhaps even more satisfying is successfully recruiting a superstar and then seeing them develop a great product. Knowing my efforts impact the bottom line keeps me going every day.

When she’s not on the job, Joeann loves walking her adorable dog called Lola, helps with finding homes to rescued dogs and indulging her love for travelling and seeing new places. She’s a big fan of Avatar movie, binge-watches Netflix series and can’t wait for the next Stranger Things series to start.
Joeann will be specialising in building a niche network of talents in Agile, DevOps and Software Engineers, so she will spend her days sourcing, recruiting and hiring the best people in the region to help a few our current clients in Malaysia, Singapore and Hong Kong.
